About my practice:
At the core of my work is a deep interest in relationships: how they shape us and how we carry them within us, creating patterns of connection and disconnection that may not be in conscious awareness. Whether it's the families we come from, the intergenerational experiences we've inherited, the different cultural contexts we inhabit, or the roles we take on with friends, partners, and colleagues, I believe illuminating our relational lives hold the key to understanding ourselves more fully and discovering new ways of being in the world.
On this basis, I believe there is no substitute for long-term, relational psychotherapy. In a culture saturated with quick fixes, AI responses, and short term medical-model interventions, it can feel counterintuitive to take this longer road. What I offer instead of these superficial approaches is a sustainable and safe relationship where I will hear and hold your stories, share in your fears, desires, griefs, and rages, and remain alongside you through uncertainty and change.
My approach includes intellectual engagement and deep curiosity to support understanding and clarity, alongside attunement to emotional, embodied, and contextual dynamics. I continue to be driven by a sense of exploration and belief in the value of expression, making each session with each client a creative collaboration.
Perhaps most importantly, I offer a safe, consistent, sensitive, long term therapeutic relationship where all parts of you are welcome - including those parts that may feel hard to express elsewhere. My aim is not to pathologise or fix you, or enforce norms and taboos: rather, it gives me huge satisfaction to see people inhabiting their lives more fully in their own unique ways.
